The aim of EN 1090-1 and standards with EN 1090-2 and EN 1090-3 technical requirements is to better regulate the execution of steel and aluminium structures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMK\u2019s role in implementing the EN 1090-1 and EN 1090-2 standards in Slovenia<\/strong><br \/>\nOnce IMK determined that standards in the Slovenian language were crucial for their successful implementation in practice, IMK translated these standards into Slovenian. Based on assignation and notification as a Notified Body (NB 1647) within the EU, IMK certifies production control (Factory Production Control &#8211; FPC) according to the requirements of the harmonised standard:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EN 1090-1 &#8220;Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures &#8211; Part 1: Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>supplemented by the following product standards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EN 1090-2: Execution of steel and aluminium structures &#8211; Part 2: Technical requirements for steel structures<\/li>\n<li>EN 1090-3: Execution of steel and aluminium structures &#8211; Part 3: Technical requirements for aluminium structures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once a manufacturer&#8217;s production control system (documented system, appropriate evidence, performed initial type tests and tests necessary for monitoring of production) is judged as meeting requirements the IMK issues an FPC certificate in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). The certificate authorises the manufacturer to issue a Declaration of Performance (DoP), and to affix the CE mark on its products.<\/p>\n<h4>Requirements for welding<\/h4>\n<p>Requirements for welding are determined by the Execution classes.
