IMK carries out the essential part of the NDT in the field or at the customer, as such service orders are most commonly related to determining the state of the facility or equipment during the course of construction or operation. Also, in cases where technological equipment is exposed to challenging operating conditions, the results of non-destructive examinations form an important basis for further professional assessment and advice related to the necessary maintenance of the equipment, such as pressure equipment, piping, rotating machine parts, and dynamic load-bearing structures.<\/p>\n<p>IMK performs the following types of NDT:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"tooltips \" style=\"\" title=\"VT, using visible light and the human eye (and devices as needed), offers the possibility of determining geometric and dimensional surface defects.\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">visual testing (VT)<\/span><\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tooltips \" style=\"\" title=\"Due to the capillarity of the colour penetrant used in PT, the defect, which is open towards the surface, becomes filled with the penetrant. Applying the developer allows for exceptional contrastive visibility of defects. Only surface defects can be detected with this test.\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">liquid penetrant testing (PT)<\/span><\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tooltips \" style=\"\" title=\"MT exploits the properties of magnetic particles to artificially generate a magnetic field and thus accumulate around any defects and render them visible. Surface defects and some defects just below the surface can be detected. This method is only suitable for ferromagnetic materials.\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">magnetic particle testing (MT)<\/span><\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tooltips \" style=\"\" title=\"In RT, ionizing radiation is used to detect volumetric defects in the interior of the specimen. With this method it is possible to detect almost all faults, except for incomplete fusion.\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">radiographic testing (RT)<\/span><\/span>,<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"tooltips \" style=\"\" title=\"Ultrasound waves, which pass through the specimen and are reflected on the border areas, including defects in the specimen interior, is exploited in UT, making it possible to detect almost all faults.\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ultrasonic testing (UT)<\/span><\/span>,<\/li>\n<li>visual examination with videoscope,<\/li>\n<li>leakage testing (with vacuum),<\/li>\n<li>measure the depth of cracks,<\/li>\n<li>measure the thickness of protective coatings,<\/li>\n<li>measure the dielectric strength of insulation,<\/li>\n<li>ultrasonic measurements of wall thickness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-2441-0-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-2441-0-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_pw_contact_profile widget-contact-profile panel-first-child\" data-index=\"1\" >\t\t\t\t<div class=\"card  contact-profile\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"card-block
