Introduction
IMK performs the following metallography examinations:
- microstructural analysis of the material on the basis of metallographic replicas (non-destructive determination of damage to vital parts of thermal power plants),
- analysis and evaluation of grain size,
- analysis and assessment of the content of non-metallic inclusions,
- estimation of size and distribution of graphite,
- determination of microstructural constituents,
- macroscopic and microscopic examinations as part of certification of welders and welding procedures.
