Short presentation of the Institute

Since its foundation more than 50 years ago, IMK has been providing to the economy vital support in the areas of design, consulting, supervision and quality control in the phases of planning, construction and maintenance of energy, industry and infrastructural facilities. With its experts IMK offers complete range of activities for the area of steel constructions, including:

• research and development
• design
• quality control during production and assembly
• destructive and non-destructive testing of construction materials, products and parts of constructions
• bearing capacity testing of constructions

In the latest period IMK has continued its development which is based on long-term tradition. According to its mission IMK strives to stay in touch with the development in its field of activity and to assure continuous education for the employees with the aim to provide high quality services.

In the area of its business activities IMK operates according to the ISO 9001 quality management system. The quality management system is certified and includes the areas of planning and development of new technologies for metal constructions, testing of materials and structures, including quality assurance and quality control as well as technical consulting.

Within the aim to offer appropriate support to its business partners in the area of quality assurance of installed materials and installation procedures, IMK has a laboratory, accredited according to SIST EN ISO/IEC 17025 for the performance of mechanical and metallographic testing.
